JAMAL AFAKIR is a Partner with the International and Corporate Tax practice of ATOZ, a high end advisory service firm offering comprehensive solutions, encompassing the entire life cycle of an investment entity: from tax planning, design and implementation to compliance and exit planning, with industry focus on Private Equity, Real Estate, Multinational Corporations, Financial Institutions and Family Offices.
His practice supports multinational corporate, private equity and real estate clients on tax matters related to mergers and acquisitions, structured finance, debt restructuring and divestitures. He has been especially focused on private equity and private equity real estate funds set up and deal structuring. He also has a strong knowledge of the Islamic finance market.
Jamal holds a DESS/DJCE in Business and Tax law from the University of Nancy and a Master’s degree in Corporate Finance from EM Lyon Business School. He is a member of the Tax Committee of the American Chamber of Commerce (AMCHAM) in Luxembourg.
