Firstly, I’d like to take the time to thank all of our readers for following our blog and wish everyone a very Happy New Year 2015.
Last year was an exceptional year for our Firm. We celebrated our 10-year anniversary in September with a visit from famed entrepreneur Sir Richard Branson who shared with us his simple recipe for success: loving what you do. Richard is one man, however, while we here at ATOZ are one team. Our own recipe for success is building a strong team of passionate and dedicated people who love what they do. And we’re starting 2015 off on the right foot with some great news: three of our Directors have now been promoted to Partners and two new Directors have joined our International and Corporate Tax team.
Hugues Henaff, Jérémie Schaeffer and Romain Tiffon, officially became ATOZ partners on 1 January 2015. This group of talented, energetic and influential individuals represents the future of our firm perfectly. Hugues Henaff, Partner in International and Corporate Tax and Jérémie Schaeffer, Partner in Corporate Implementation, joined the firm in its infancy, a decade ago. Starting out as Junior Associates, they have grown into seasoned professionals as our firm has matured beyond the label of “start-up” and into an established and respected Firm. Romain Tiffon, Partner in International and Corporate Tax is an accomplished tax law professional and attorney with extensive international experience in London and Luxembourg.
In our industry, people matter. Brainpower and dedication are our raw materials and great client service is our product. Our employees are our most valuable resource and we are always proud when new talent chooses to become a member of our Firm. At the beginning of the year, we extended a warm welcome to Antoine Dupuis and Oliver Hoor, our newest Directors in the International and Corporate Tax Department. Antoine and Oliver are bringing their well-honed skills and years of experience to ATOZ and we are sure that they will soon, if not already, feel like part of our team.
As I stated above, people are our most precious resource. For this reason, we put a lot of effort into becoming a certified “Great Place to Work®” in 2013 and 2014. According to Robert Levering, Co-Founder of Great Place to Work®, a great place to work is “one in which you trust the people you work for, have pride in what you do, and enjoy the people you work with”. This is the type of organization that we have proven we are and strive to continue to be. In the New Year, we’ll be working hard to obtain our certification for a third year in a row. At ATOZ we are looking forward to making this year just as successful and unforgettable as last and we can’t achieve that without the support and hard work of our members.
