Job description

Your main responsibilities:
  • Assist / Support the General Counsel in her daily duties
  • Be accountable for overseeing the corporate records and ensure that they are accurate, protected, and are in all accordance with the law and regulatory requirements
  • Ensure proper maintenance and due implementation of high corporate governance standards and advise pro-actively on improvements when the regulatory framework so requires
  • Be abreast of legislative and regulatory changes affecting and likely to affect the business
  • Coordinate all communications with the OEC/AED, liaising with other internal departments when needed
  • Ensure compliance with the internal controls, statutory regulations and other formalities
  • Be involved on all pre-litigation and litigation cases faced by any entity of the Group
  • Assist on the preparation of internal documents/internal policies/process review/good practices data bases
  • Assist and be involved in contract review and negotiation
  • Contribute to other legal & regulatory and other business development projects as required by the business
  • Provide ad-hoc support to the business
Your profile:
  • You have an excellent academic path with at least a 5-year Degree in General Law or in International Business Law. An LLM or any international study program would be considered as an advantage but is not mandatory
  • You have gained at least 5 years of professional experience in a law firm or a legal department
  • You are described as a pro-active mindset, well-organized and detail-oriented
  • You can stretch yourself, adapt to change, have an interest in business development, finance, human resources, and management
  • You are creative and able to spot legal and technical opportunities
  • You have a good knowledge of market practice and portfolio industries
  • You demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact with individuals at all corporate levels
  • Dynamic, open-minded, informal, flexible, impacting and business-oriented, you demonstrate extraordinary commitment to provide excellent service, self-initiative and team spirit
  • You are result-oriented with the ability to multi-task and have a high level of attention to detail
  • You have a secure and self-confident manner, are reliable, sociable, and are a genuine member with diplomatic skills
  • You have a high sense of confidentiality / discretion
  • You have an excellent command of English and French
